St. Petersburg — Iran is seeking to deepen and expand fisheries cooperation with the Russian Federation, with efforts focused on removing barriers facing businesses and strengthening direct links between the public and private sectors of the two countries.

 

Hamzeh Rostampour, Iran’s deputy agriculture minister and head of Iran Fisheries Organization, made the remarks following his participation in the International Fisheries Industry Forum and the St. Petersburg Fisheries Exhibition in Russia.

 

He said removing obstacles facing economic operators and establishing direct connections between the governmental and private sectors of Iran and Russia were among the key objectives of his visit, adding that the goals had been successfully achieved.

 

He also emphasized that the agreements and decisions reached during the visit would be followed up seriously and continuously until they produce tangible results.
